PTV clearance experts! My current setup
-5.3 heads milled .0015 with 2.02/1.60 valves
-oem headgasket
-oem rockers
-tr 7.4 pushrods
-stock ls6 block
Right now I have a tr224 112. I'm planning on changing out the oil pump, timing chain and figure might as well swap the cam, but am not interested in flycutting because a forged shortblock is in the plans for next year. I would really like an f13, but am worried about ptv clearance. Alan Futral says I would be fine, just want some other opinions. Also is there an easy way to check ptv clearance, any good writeups/howto's? TIA-Garrett

I think you mean milled .015".
That was the setup I was going to go with, and Allan also said I would be fine. But, I would check it to be sure. I bet it will be close.

Alan said I will have .080 intake/ .110 exhaust clearance, from what I have read these are barely acceptable. Would a different length pushrod help the situation any? Should I just go with a slightly smaller cam like the f11 or f12?

Different pushrod wont change your P/V clearance. I would run .080/.110, especially if it has allan's seal of approval. People have run even tighter, but you have to understand what youre getting yourself into. If a shortblock is in the plans, youve already got extra insurance just incase.
