Head bolts or studs.
The broken bolt.. is exactly why I would never use stock bolts when reassembling a motor... not even new stock bolts. ARP stufs/bolts are expensive.. but there's good reason for the expense.

if you ever have to do it again you will thank god that you spent $80 more on the studs. and if you strip the threads in the block you will want to shoot yourself for not spending the extra $80.

How many miles were on the motor? I don't understand why these bolts snap when people are removing them. I'm glad I put studs in my motor. I only had 12k miles on mine when I swapped over but I plan on having this car a long time.
