The broken bolt.. is exactly why I would never use stock bolts when reassembling a motor... not even new stock bolts. ARP stufs/bolts are expensive.. but there's good reason for the expense.

if you ever have to do it again you will thank god that you spent $80 more on the studs. and if you strip the threads in the block you will want to shoot yourself for not spending the extra $80.

on a C5 anyway

I wanna say there was like 55K miles. but they werent the original ones. They were actually pretty new. When i was putting them on the first time i used stock ones and when i was tightening them i snapped 2 off as well. So this time when i put it back together its getting studs. Im tired of removing the busted bolts.
