Comp R's vs Morells

Comp R's vs Morells I have a new set of comp R lifts I was planning on putting in next week. But with all the bad press I have heard about them I'm not real sure I want to chance these. They are 850-16's.
Should I not even use these.? Or should I get some morells? Need help with this, Please.

If it was me i'd put them in a package with a stick of dynomite and make a happy 4th of july display with them, ha ha. Some have had luck with the R's, some, including myself have not. IMHO you are taking a chance with a part that if it does in fact come apart you'll be replacing lots of parts with it. Why do you think you need the R's? Just curious. Stock lifters are working with stock sized valves with .651 lift cams that are very agressive.
Ya the 850's are not the Comp R lifter they are actually a stock replacment and have had no issues that I have seen. If they are in fact the Comp R lifters i have seen several sets come apart in motors we have put together and will not ever install another set. We now use the Morels.

The box says 850-16 and I was told these are replacement fifter.
So does this mean that they are not the R series?
I was also told that I did not need adj rockers.
So does this mean I'll be OK with these? I hope so!

People that do measure pre-load still have a problem with them. Myself and other sponsors who've used them know how to set up valve trains and these lifters are still failing. Furthermore, why do you need them when stock lifters (atleast 01 and up) are working just fine with .650 lift and 6800+rpm?
