Default MTI B1 cam in a 5.3

Hey all this cam specs are
221/221 .559/.559 on 114
I am thinkking about this for my 5.3 in my short bed reg cab truck. Is this an older cam spec? I am not wanting a huge cam but something noticable and to wake this up I currently have a 2600 stall.
What do you think.
Dave

Yeah thats an old cam. I run its brother the T1 (same except 112) and have good results. It won't kill valvesprings, doesn't need to be rev'd to the moon, and makes good power.

I don't know if its even made anymore, used to be an MT1 cam. You could also try the Thunder .563/224/114 cam, just a hair bigger and there's alot of good history with that cam in the LS1 world..

thanks for the info...
I guess I am also wondering this is close to the specs of a TR220 cam. If the specs are the same between manufactures will the cams be the same?
That may be too general of a question but it seems if the lift, duration and seperation is identical the cams should be also?
Thanks
Dave

I run a T1 cam in my 01 Z-28, It runs great with a noticeable idle. I will most likely swap in for something bigger in the next year or so. I run the comp 918 springs with it. Driveability is good, I am "self tuned" with HP tuners.

Ive got the MTI C1 cam. 222/222 .566/.566 112lsa. Its got really good power from 3000 and up. I spin my 5.3 to almost 7000 rpms and the power never falls off.

Thanks guys, this is one I am trying to get a deal on and just want the input.
Wow silver, I didnt want to spin it to 7000 I bet that is mean up there.
Blue, the T1 would probably be a choice above this one but it would be alot more cash.
Can I get away with the orange striped (2003) ls6 springs with this cam?
thanks again
Dave
