stock timing chain???'s
I have an 02 Z06 w/ 54k miles on it. I messed up and didn't change out the timing chain when I did the cam. Anyone know how long the stock one is good for? the mechanic that worked on the car said that is was still nice and tight and didn't need to be replaced. any ideas on this?

What valve springs? The issue as I see it is you have a 54K timing chain with likely heavier valve springs and a more aggressive cam profile so the chain is going to see more load. Any plans on future mods that would allow you to change it like an UD pulley or something. Personally, I wouldn't feel comfortable.

Thanks guys, just what I'd hear. I do have a pretty big cam, and the prc double spring set, so I'm sure I'm putting a nice load on it. I'll probably do an under drive pulley here in the near future. I'll look into changing it then.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I have a IWIS chain that I got from Thunder Racing, 150 bucks for that thing, but I heard it was a good chain. I got a kick out of the "For offroad use only" sticker that was on the bag the chain came in.
