How do you get crud in the fuel rails - how does it get past the filter? If the filter gets really clogged will some of it get thru?

So I have nothing to worry about with a carb intake setup - or is #7 still an issue?

Just a thought, but if you run coolant passages from the back and making those cylinders (7 & 8) run cooler aren't you getting "Denser" air which would mean it's running even leaner ?

BTW, I can vouch for Orlando Fuel = Worst fuel in the nation, I've seen... (I've lived in Fl, Il, Ny, & Ca.)

I thought it was from a blocked injector seems a very common with LS1.

Lost during a 150 shoot at the track

So, would that be cured with new aftermarket injectors, not OEM, or flow matched ones like SVO's?

Just found out last week that number 7 has 36% leakdown. All other pistons were 10 to 11 percent so number 7 is the only one that has problems. My motor has never had a power adder. It has less than 21,000 miles, less than 300 passes but I have spun it as high as 7000 on approx 100 to 150 passes.

Lost two motors, both #7, and my 415 had #8 go, due to a dropped, or broken valve. Good stuff.

I lost #5 and #7 on my old Z28 due to spraying a 150 shot on a all motor tune. I am now losing the #7 cylinder in my CETA because the rings are giving up and it only has 44K miles on it

what about an egt? usually theyre quite a bit closer to the motor than a wideband.

Do you guys think this could be a cooling issue, maybe the way the coolant is routed or poor cooling passages thru the block/heads is overheating this cylinder under hard driving or power adders?

22,000 hard 3000 to red line (6750)road track miles and no problems on an 03 LS6. Normally 25-30 min sessions, 4 times per day

cam 224/228 580/580 112LSA, stock 243 heads, springs check each winter

I did put an accu-sump and oil cooler on at 1500 miles, #7 & #8 were richened up a bit. Tune was check each winter as well.

Never ran temps above 265 oil or 220 coolant. Changed oil every 500 miles, M1 15-w50. Coolant mostly water with 10-15% Dex and two bottles of water wetter.

Other mods, TPIS LTs, Random Tech High flow cats and x-pipe, then straight pipes, TPIS tb On PP LS6 manifold
