Sent it back to the MFG and they replaced it stating it may or may not have been a bad heat treat on the core. The lifters look PERFECT still......no wear at all on the rollers. Prior to this incident, I would have thought surely the severity of the pitting would have chewed thru the rollers on the lifters.....and.....the springs I'm running are 250# seat / 825# open!

How can I find out if it's my cam or what that caused the damage?
Should I ask Futral if they are willing to look at the cam or have someone else do that?
Oh and my springs are manley duals .650 lift

WOW, ill have to check my lifters while the heads are off as ive been running futural cams for the last few years. good luck with the fix sidestep. waiting for your results with the new cam. mine won't be up and running till spring

Morel has the lifters. They are going to have their lab look at the lifters and they are going to send them off to an OEM lifter mfg for analysis. This may take a couple of weeks but I will keep you posted.
