*edit* that is very odd... you must be able to read minds!!!!!!

At WOT, there is simply no vacuum to be had. For the same reason the high MAP pressure of big cams (around 65 KPA) dont offer enough vacuum for the power brakes to work, the even higher MAP of WOT offers even less vacuum, effectively 0.
Big cam at idle:
outside KPA - Idle MAP = vacuum
100 - 65 = 35 KPA vacuum.
WOT regardless of the cam:
outside KPA - WOT MAP = vacuum
100 - 100 = 0 KPA vacuum.
You can pull from the crankcase if theres no pressure differential.

how about the collector mounted vacuum system?
how about the collector mounted vacuum system?
As for the pumps? Theyre far to expensive for the few HP they gain, IMO.

Youre not talking about the stock AIR system are you? Assuming youre not, its a good idea, however there would probably need to be some type of pump. I think exhaust pressure would be far greater than crankcase pressure. Even then, i feel like its simpler to vent to the outside atmosphere rather than vent to the exhaust. Unless youre a dirty-hippy tree-hugger, in which case you can vent to the exhaust before the cats so pollutants are burned, but then again, im not to familliar with your priius hybrid.

One breather is fine. As stated before, with bay to bay breathing, it is more than enough. Here is what I used for my 02 SS:
Metco breather to replace passenger side oil cap (TR sells them)
plug for drivers side grommet, GM part # 12568011
three 11/32 caps for the passenger side valve cover and throttle body
1 cap (can't remember size) for the intake manifold

Thank you very much, that is the info I was looking for.

well, im in the process of either removing or using a catch can. I think im gonna completely remove the pcv but i haven't becuz of this debut.
I dont think you'll ruin your seals becuz of the added ventilation. Logically, it would seem that the seals would go if you have an excess amount of crankpressure, which with mod we are reducing, not blow throw the seals.
Correct me if im wrong though.
So, what i did was get a K&N breather with a polished heat shield on one half of the filter. ITs quit large but nice!! the opening on the bottom, with the clamp, is approx. an inch? anyways, what i did was remove the stock oil filler, and use that to mount it.
step by step:
the oil filler can be seperated in two sections, right? One that locks into the valve cover and the other is the neck with the 35-45* bend with the cap on the end. It is seperated by a wider ring in the middle that runs flush with the valve cover upraised "female-fitting" or hole for oil filler.
RIGHT!!.....
So, what i did was teh section that has the bend, which goes up for almost a quarter of an inch and then bends, right before the bend, i cut it off so what you have left is the lock, the large ring, and this quarter inch piece extending from the ring. Mount the breather over the that end, it should fit snug, and clap her down.
Blamo!!!!! breather to valve cover. Now you can screw the breather just like the oil filler in and out for an oil change....I wrote alot but really it took about 5 minutes to do!! I got the breather for really cheap, and it worked out great.
Now, can i use the pcv WITH the beather or would that defeat the purpose? I mean, i will be adding more ventilation and still get oil in the intake. I ask becuz i just got this silly greddy catch can and i dont want just have it sitting around, well, that is unless i sell it....
anyone want greddy catch can?!
