Default what lifters to go with?

What lifters do most of you guys have? I have been told to go with the comp "R" lifters by one person and told that the stockers are the best by someone else. My car has 75K on it and I figured that when swapping the heads that getting new lifters would not be a bad idea. Now I am just not sure what kind. Any help would be appreciated.

The Comp "R" lifters are only for use with adjustable rockers. Most stay with new stock GM lifters, Comp OE 850-16 replacements or Mellings stock replacements. Morel brand lifters are available also if you have the extra $$.

I went with the Mellings lifters. No noises, no complaints.

Comp R's have too many horror stories floating around here for my liking. Im sure theyre a great lifter when they dont chew up and trash a motor. Mellings have an impeccable reputation, however theyre pricey. You can also thing about comp 850 (stock replacements) or mellings. I just put mellings in my motor earlier today...
