probably going with 5.7 iron block,aluminum truck heads.going to be stock save for big cam.what kind of power?i want a nasty idle with at least 375 rear wheel horses.car is 69 firebird,200-4r trans fresh from my grand national,gears are 3.73.heads are cleaned up ports.i have been porting for some time,but i know that cnc is the way to go and i may go that route in the future.heads have 2.00 and 1.55 valves.i have been following posts for over 2 years and i think this combo is very stealthy,save for nasty cam.

 

So your gonna bore a 4.8/5.3 block out to 3.898 and run stock size crank?

 

there isnt a 5.7 iron block. all the iron blocks have a 4" bore. with a stock 3.622 crank you will have a 370ci motor.

nevermind my dumbass, i forgot the 4.8 was iron as well. you can go much bigger with a cam on stock heads. my cam is in my sig on stock heads. the trex cam is bigger than mine and fits stock heads, as well as the g5x4, x3, magic stick, etc.
