Does it matter if?

you go with a ported throttle body before a cam, a buddy of mine said i should go with a cam first. doest it matter all that much?

No it doesnt matter at all. However, if you have all the supporting mods before your cam, you will get the most out of your cam. The usual route people take is doing all the bolt ons first, then move on to bigger mods.
