Default ls1 crank chamfered? rod bearings...

Im new to the LS1, and i am going to replace the rod bearings in my 2000SS. Went to order clevite77 h series race bearings for the rods and they said that you have to have a chamfered crank for them, i thought the ls1 crank was chamfered from the factory. Is it? What aftermarket bearings are the best to get? part numbers? did a search and didnt come up with much info. Thanks

Chad
