Default LS6 head bolt help please

I am putting the heads back on my LS6, and all 10 head bolts are the same length (4").

Is the procedure the same in torquing the suckers down as the other production series?

I only want to do this once.

My book on the LS1 & LS6 makes no distinction. The torque sequence is the same. It is essentially working from the center of the head to the ends, but you probably have the diagram. If you do not, get one.

Here is a sequence diagram, just in case you don't have one.

Go down to Part 5. They have some pretty detailed instructions.

Ok thanks guys!

I take it that just because they went to 10 4" bolts that the install ansd torque spec didn't change.

I sure hope I don't snap any bolts off.

22 lbs, 90 deg on the first passs then another 90.

There was something else about an additional 25 or so degrees on two of the bolts.

YES?

UPDATE. the part # 012498545 does not work on a 2005 LS6 (mine) out of a CTS-V.

All I need to know is:
1. Does part #12560745 work for a replacement head bolt?
It is threaded all the way, not like the stock bolt.

2. Is the install the same? I don't want to break off a bolt, especially when I add the 50 degree final pass on bolts 9&10.

Ok for my 2005 CTS-V with the LS6.

The ten head bolts are 4 inches long.

From James @ Lindsey Cadillac:

Service info says:

22 ft lbs 1st

90 deg 2nd

70 deg 3rd.
