Quick cam question....
I just got a used G1 cam from a member here, and I thought it was just the standard G1 cam.
But upon opening the box, at the end of the cam it says
MTI G-1 on 115 LSA and then under that it says +4....what does that mean?

I just read the cam guide that's a sticky on this forum and it says that normally +2 or +4 advance is ground into most off the shelf cams, so maybe it's like this.
But usually the G1 is on a 113 LSA, not a 115 LSA. And I didn't know this when I bought it..

The 115 is the LSA, +4 refers to the ICL being 111. The normal G1 cam a 113 LSA and an ICL of 109. I have a 115 LSA version sitting in my basement. It will have a very good idle but will give up low-end TQ compared to the 113 LSA version...
