I just ordered from them too... they had to be drop shipped from lunati but they came in, in 3 days. They look fantastic.

They said they had a rush on them in the last week.... ah the power of the intarweb.

As far as the Lifters go, you got your self a gold mine. Those Lunati Lifters are actually the Morel Lifters. Morel supplied Lunati with those lifters a couple years ago. So, expect only the best.

Adrian

Are the Lunati lifters still made by Morel, because I am trying to find a place to be either if they are reasonably priced.

Who has bought the Morels, where?, and how much? PM me if non sponser, Thanks

I bought my Morel's from Thunder during their Christmas sale. Young at byunspeed.com seems to be able to get the Lunati's, at least he could a while back. Just make sure you get the correct part number.

PS: Very nice lifter, and quiet too

Are these actually morel's or not ??? What is the correct part #. I keep hearing different stories about the current Lunati lifters are not actually the morel's anymore. I don't wanna buy the Lunati's just to find out when I receive them, they are not morel's. Any clearification would help. Thanks

We'll find out. I just ordered a set (72432LUN) from Byunspeed.com. When they come in, we'll compare them to some Morels that Mikey from Rapid has in stock... at least externally.

NP, as soon as they get here, I'll post up what we find out. I got the last set in stock, so they should be here pretty soon. Everywhere else had to order, with a June ship date. Not good, when I'm waiting to install the dart heads.

Just got them in. They came drop shipped from SDPC. Checked SDPC's site and they were actually a little cheaper @ $366. Didnt get a chance to compare them in person to the Morel's yet, but they sure look like them. I've atteched an image of them showing different angles. Need to clean them up a bit.

They do look exactly the same, as far as I can tell, and from what I have read, they are still made by Morel.

Are these a direct replacement for stocks/what is needed to make these work?

I think you need to run less pre-load on these compared to the stockers. But Im not sure on the exact numbers.

The Morel and Melling design looks similar. I understand the Morel is more expensive and probably better in some way. I upgraded from my OEM to the Melling for only $140. What are the actual differences between the two? I appreciate it - thanks.

When I called Lunati tech support at 2 different times both guys told me .020-.030 preload...compared to the stock of .100+.

Well thats exactly what Morel will tell you. I think it is safe to say that these Lunati lifters = Morel. I don't think you can do any better for lifters. I'm admiring my set of Lunati's right now. lol

With stock rockers/heads and these lifters with a preload of .020-.030, what length pushrod should be used?

I have never seen one of the mellings, but is it possible that the Lunati's are really Melling's if the body looks similar, but the internals of the hydraulic are different ?? So then not actually morels ??
