Head Bolts with milled heads?

Can I use stock GM Head Bolts if i mill my heads .030 and use .045 gaskets without the risk of them bottoming out? or should i step it up to studs? FYI this is on an 04, i think the bolts are shorter.

Youre probably fine. I used GM bolts and milled .040 without incident.

I had the same concern. I milled .030 and used the .045 gasket and it is fine with the stock TTY bolts.

What About Ls6 Heads Milled 55 Thous. With Cometic .45 Gaskets on a 408 lme iron block.should i get arp if so which ones

Good question...I just bought heads milled .05 but I'll be using stock gaskets...which are .54 thick??
