Default Help me decide between two cams

The TR230-224 or the TR230-236? Are both fine to run with stock geared cars? And also which one is going to give me more of a "lopier" sound. If thats a word or not?
Thanks

teh 230/236 will give you a more agressive lope if you run it on a tighter LSA, like 112. Also, with this cam, you may want some 3.73's or bigger. Personally, 4.10s are the best and I run them on a stock cam setup and I love em! Both great cams.

The 224 will be more of a stealth cam and will have a lower powerband. This cam will have almost no lope at all.

I've been pondering the thought of 4.10's (in an M6) but im afraid of running out of gear when i spray (100 shot) but then again i wont be spraying just about 99% of the time. Im not looking for a pure strip machine. Its going to be my daily driver but i want it to have enough bite so that i can drive against the best of them. Also i love the sound of a great lopeing car but not the kind that sounds likes its about to die every second. Thats too much for me.

Well both will give you power to beat a lot of things on the street. The only difference is one introduces the power earlier in the power band...Although the 230/236 wont come in much later than the 224. If I was gonna choose, I would pick the 232/236 because it will have more lope and give you that sound you are looking for without sounding like its gonna die. If you look on LS1 sounds you can hear all sorts of different cams. Also, do a search and Im positive you will find what you need.

You want lopey, get the 230/236 ground on a tight LSA, say 112*. When it gets tuned try to keep the idle from getting set too high, that will lessen the lope. It should chug along pretty nicely, enough that nobody will misake it for stock.

I would match that to at least 3.73 and preferably 4.10 gears. You will not be able to 60' worth a darn without a good, solid clutch and new rear end, but that is true even with a completely stock rear and am M6.

Don't forget the quality tune and all major bolt-ons before the cam goes in, as well as approprate springs, retainers, etc, all that fun stuff.

That is very important....or else the cam wont be worth anything.
