This looks kind of interesting. What do you guys think of this cam?

Would it make good power for street/strip? I dont want to rev past 6500.

It uses the z-cam lobe profiles.

Its advertised duration is 290 @ .004....so I dont know how to compare the ramp rate. I know using duration @50 compared to gross at .006 can get you ramp rate. But in this case the ramp would be 62...and I know thats not right.

So how can I convert 290 @ .004 to what it would be at .006?
If the ramp ends up being between an xe and xe-r I am getting this cam

How do these base circles compare to the other cams?

Is .600 lift too much for a 228?

I am just looking for something a little different than everyone else.

Looks like a crane cam. .600 lift is no problem for 228* just make sure you have good springs.

 

It's a lot like my cam, only mine is 122 lsa, be sure to get it tuned when I first put it in it always quit at stoplights and other stops if I didn't power brake it but after I got it tuned it sounds like a pro stock drag car and really works well.

 

Yeah it is a crane cam. They are custom ground for sdpc with the z-cam lobes from crane..which from the sounds of it are supposed to be compareable to other high ramp cams like futral and xe-r.

Ive got patriot duals good for .650 lift.
