Default pushrod length

Just got this cam and I'm wondering what length pushrods I should use. I know I should just measure, but I was hoping someone running this cam or one similar could tell me. It's a thunder racing 230/236 .592/.602 112 LSA .

You need to include a lot more info... what is the base circle of your cam?

-stock heads? Milled?
-what gaskets?
-stock lifters?

If you provide Thunder with this info Im sure they can help you out as well.

Its always best to physically measure though... not that hard to do either.

stock heads, stock gaskets, stock lifters, stock rockers. The only thing I don't know is the base circle of the cam. Thunder's website doesn't say anything about it.

Take a set of calipers and measure it.

Will the stockers be too short, giving me valvetrain noise? Or are the 7.425s just a good all around length to use?

The base circle of the cam is smaller than stock. so the difference in radius will result in much lighter preload and can get things really noisy.

The 7.425's add another .025 to the allready light preload and help quiet things down a lot.

If you give me you base circle measurement, I'll tell you exactly what your preload will be since the cam is the only parameter changed.

sounds good. I will have to wait till tonight to give you my base circle measurement. I don't have any calipers with me. Where exactly do I measure? Cam lobe before the ramps?

Place it on one of the lobes.
Compress caliper.
Turn the cam slowly until you find the lowest number the caliper ever reads.
That is your base circle
Since yours is a split lift, you'll have 2 readings, 1 intake and 1 exhaust.
