Well, for one thing, isn't your motor an infamous ARE motor? They are not known to be dyno queens.

There are two areas we get progression.
- 1 - The 'cam' that the cable connects to is slightly scrolled (like a snail shell) so that the ratio of movement for the initial cable movement is higher than at the 50%-90% of WOT.
- 2 - The lever-arms on each of the 8 throttle shafts can be rotated to bias the movement towards the initial opening. We set them as 'neutral' when they leave here, but some tuners tweak them to suit the car & application.
