Default Installed 224/.581 surging, and cutting off after warm up

I just had an 224/.581 114 installed in my A4 3.23. After I started my car up it started to surge up and down. However, after the car warmed an approched the normal temperture it seemed okay, but killed several times when slowing down for a stop light. THIS CAM WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN DYNO TUNED? I was told that the computer has to learn this cam or set-up over and after a few days of driving it would be fine. Do you guys feel that this car has been Dyno tuned? Futhermore, I was told that it only made 350rwhp due to an LS1 intake and Dynomax Super Turbo 3"inch muffler. However, the car has stock heads, Mac Mid length Headers/ORYP and a 3,000 Vigilante Converter with all free mods. I don't think my car has been tuned properly, what do you guys think? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />

?? Not an auto guy myself. Do you have a-tap? If so see what your IAT #'s are. If too high do the drill mod on your TB and Idle relearn and see how that does. If you have the ability bump the idle up a little.

Make sure that throttle body is drilled out and make sure there is no vacuum leak. The surging sounds like a vacuum leak. I had the same cam, You need to get the car tuned. I made over 400rwhp with that cam through an auto with no heads.

The car was supposed to have been dyno tuned. However, I didn't take the car and didn't pay them yet, but do ya'll think it should surge when you first start it up and kill when coming to a stop when it was supposed to have been dyno tuned??

Even cars with tuning will surge a little on warm starts. Stalling out when comming to a stop is another isssue though...that just shouldn't be happening.

You can get rid of the surging by bumping up your idle a little by adjusting the idle screw. You need to find out if your dyno numbers were with the converter locked or unlocked.
