Default FINISHED my h/c swap

well i just got done it sounds great. It wont hold an idle cause i went from a 26# injectors to 42# injectors so its running rich as hell. Cant wait to get it dyno tuned. A little info, f13 cam ,patriot ported 243 milled for about 10.8 to 1 compression, ls6 itake, oil pump , injectors, lifter and chain and dual springs. What kind of track times do you think i will get? I already have lt,gmmg, catted y, yank SS3600, and a dry 100 shot.

When you get a good dyno tune you should be in the 420-440 rwhp range. Good for mid 11's. Maybe very low 11's-high 10's if you have a "track *****" suspension set-up.

I'd seriously not drive the car until you get a dyno tune though. Congrats!!!

Mid 11's. Why did you go so big on the injectors, you planning on spraying? 36's wold be more then enough for that setup. 30's would have been fine even.

I did 42's too, mainly because they were only $200 and can support future mods. They are very tuneable, so why not? Probably why he did it too.

Congrats on the new setup!

Is it drivable with those injectors without a tune? I'm doing the same swap and am wondering if I should wait until I get to the shop where it's getting tuned to put the injectors on.

In my opinion, not at all. Wait till you get to a shop, or if you have a friend with HPTuners at leats throw in the IFR values for the 42's.

Yeah I'm with Viper on this. I've got a Crane handheld that will change injector sizes and cam levels, but I wouldn't trust the air/fuel ratio on a full heads/cam/injector swap. I would tune it to get me over to a shop.

I still have the Crane tuner. New condition. I used it with my smaller 224 cam. Pretty good results, it has 4 different cam specs to choose the tune for. Paid 430, I'd take 325? shipped if anyone wants it.

trust me you can not drive it like this. I had to unplug the pcv to allow some air in to hold idle to warm up, check coolant and so on. I wish i knew someone with a hand held to help me out. Its running so rich it burns you eyes if you stand behind the exhaust. I wish i would have waited to swap the injectors but oh well, live and learn i guess
