Default Calling Vette...ever Swapped An Oil Pump Or Timing Chain

I was curious, you guys that have C5 vettes, have you ever swapped an oil pump and/or timing chain (only, not the cam), have you done this without removing the radiator? It looks possible, just curious if anyone on LS1TECH has done it.

Thanks in advance,

Micah

Why not pull the radiator? It is EASY to do.

Yeah, I had already drain the radiator and I pulled it...I was concerned about loosing to much tranny fluid, but I may have lost a 1/4 cup, so I am going to move on. The steering rack is going to be the part I hope goes smoothly...my wife just needs to bare with me as I cuss at her for doing something I am screwing up. she is cool though.

Thanks.

Yes the radiator needs to come out.
Seperate the condensor from the radiator first, then bungie it up out of the way.

Well, the timing chain cover is off and the chain is out, that thing tore up a bunch of stuff including itself. The CRANE timing chain was suppose to be indestructable...well, my car beat it. Looks as though the chain was manufactured with a defect and diassembled in my car. No really damage done, I found all of the missing pieces.

Thanks for the help.
