I've always used the More Performance tool. It's a delicate peice though since it's made out of aluminum. *I* never had a problem with messing it up, but it seemed that everytime i lent it out it came back more and more f'd up.

I made my own tool out of a flat piece of steel that worked great and did not cost a thing. Just 30 minutes to make.

And I second the MORE tool I did however need a buddy to compress the spring while I grabbed the keepers.

I had no problem with the SLP tool, but you will have the inner spring "pop out" of the center and you will have to compress by hand when you install (a firm pressure really helps). I had a friend install the keepers while I compressed the spring.

Wasn't that hard.

I did take the **** off and used a socket and a ratchet to compress the spring though.

Makes it easier.
