Do I need to mill?
I have a pic...but it is poor quality.
It is very shallow....you can barely feel it with your finger....but it is their.
I am using mls gaskets as well. The main thing that worries me is where it is located. Since I am using metal gaskets it doesnt seem like it could seal that crevice and coolant would leak from the water port out to the bolt hole or something? If it were on an edge or something I wouldnt worry....but it is almost like a little river running between the holes in the picture. It is very small....but Im not sure what to do?
I pointed to it and outlined it lightly in the picture as you can see
what do you guys think?
I just thought maybe someone knew if the gasket could make up for a minor blemish like that. If someone had concrete knowledge I would consider leaving them alone. Doesnt seem like an mls gasket would be good for sealing a small crevice though.
thanks
A machine shop can tell you better than any of us here on the net honestly, and it's free to ask. I guess when I first responded it was more because I like compression ( milled heads ).
