Well i got everything out of the way, coolant drained, etc and have my Power Steering Puller set ready to go...
I went to place the puller on the pulley.. and it seems the goove is not wide enough to fit the two "C" pieces. Basically, the pulley itself is to close to the grooves and there is a slight angle on the "C" pieces that clamp into the groove. I will have to slightly grind down the puller... did anyone else have to do this???
On the surface that is on the table is where i will slightly have to grind away material.
I've pulled many PS pulleys, this is the first one where the tool didnt fit easily. (getting it off is a different story...)

EDIT - Uhmmm, never mind. Why are you needing to pull the pulley?

Yes I have run in to the problem with the 98-02 fbody's. The factory plastic pulley has a slight hump in the pulley body before the metal insert. This prevents the 2-c "clips" from seating all the way into the grove on the metal sleave/insert. I always wind up taking a long screw drive and prying against the outside ridge of the pulley spining it and prying etc. . This will eventually break and seperate the plastic portion of the pulley of off the metal insert allowing the 2-c"clips" to seat deep enough into the grove to hold onto the pulley under load. Also get your self some PB blaster and hit the factory unit let it sit for at least 10 minutes before you begin removal.
Hope this helps
