There we go. Get us this info so we can help you exclude this as a possibility.

I diddn't know there was a difference in knock sensor's?? I'll have to check p/n's to see which one's I got. Yes the car has LT's and full bolt-on's with a very big cam.

If you had the newer style 02's cnaces are tnhey wouldnt be showing 4° KR. The Reason Mopar asked is maybe in the case you do.. that your Lt's may be hitting something like the K-member or other parts of the car causing "knock".

I will check p/n today on sensor's. I checked all exhaust and nothing is hitting anything.

I don't believe changing the knock sensor it'self (which is just a piezo electric vibe transducer) is going to change anything as the PCM sets the sensitivity, amplitude per knock volt sensed, the frequency detected, etc. The 98's sensitivity settings in the PCM are more aggressive as compared to say a 2002 profile. The 2002 has more tables also that the 98 doesn't support. Are you totally sure about fueling? Not just WOT but has somebody done your VE tables yet. Just prior to WOT if you go lean then you could be getting a spike and the 98 sensitivity and longer recovery times are not helping you. I would think your problem is a combination of fueling, and the sensitivity settings, OR exhaust banging. Don't forget KISS.

On two friends 98's, we had to desensitize the knock table in HPTuners, even after teflon tape and new knock sensors from an 02'. FWIW>

Are the 99's Knock sensors the same as the 98's?

Yes, but as mentioned above the PCM was programmed differently for 1998.

It dosn't look like a spike (+4) then the recoevry rate. I thought that too, but it looks like a constant KR

What table do you use to de-sensitize knock??? I wasn't aware you could do this?? I thought it was either on or off.

If this is true, then explain to me... Why would changing the sensors and harness to the newer ones, eliminate the KR if its just in the computer
