no your not ,but there is no easy way, but spread them apart and start it in to the grove and take a pocket screw driver and roll them in place.

The key is to spread them apart wide. If you get them wide enough, you can do with no tools at all. You have to get the 'top ring' off the top of the piston, so it is not touching it. It should spiral in after. Good luck, its pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

my pistons had double locks four per piston, and there harder to take out than putting in ,to me.

I figured there was a tool to it if no trick. I got 4 done last night resulting in 2 raw fingertips.
