Default plugs

they will actually take a tapered seat stock plug, but we reccommend using a gasketed seat plug. NGK has a ton of selection for that design.

Can you give us an NGK plug number or 2? Looking for something that will work with a 12.8:1 compression 347.

Cary, a selection of part numbers for these plugs that your talking about would be good. Something comparable to the TR 5, 55, 6, and 7's would cover 90% of the people who buy your heads. Thanks, Jason

So Phil, can we expect to see some dyno numbers or track numbers after you get the plug issues resolved or are you still waiting on other squirrel mods?

OK Phil,
What is wrong with running a TR6 that I used in my stock LS1 heads?
Is it to short?
That is what I am running now.
Boy it sound like I really missed something here.

We've already got preliminary numbers and they are on target. Car needs more tuning and break-in time, this was with less than 200 miles on the clock. Dyno numbers && Flow numbers will be disclosed when a few issues are cleared up and we have MPH and ET data to go along with it.

This is the first I've heard about the plugs. What is the problem you guys are running into?

I ran straight TR6's with my ET heads.
No problems at all.
The stock wires however aren't long enough and you have to pull the pointless end out for the wire to fit in the heads hole.

We have ran:
TR55 - too hot
TR6 - seems to be better
BP7EFS - runs great

Apparently the LS1 style plug is too short, not sure how much difference it makes but time will tell.

What is the difference with the BP7EFS and TR6. Is the BP7EFS a colder plug?
What plug would you recommend on a street car that will be at about 11.8:1, with possibly a 150 shot in the future?

The 7 is a colder plug, you may be able to get away with a TR6 but probably need a BP7EFS.
