Default Oil leaking from the back?

I've noticed oil leaking from the clutch inspection hole. Is there a rear main seal to these engines? If it were a head gasket leaking out the back I'm thinking it would probably go the outside of the bell housing. So whatelse is there? The crank is hollow correct? I've heard of the flywheel bolts weeping. Anyone have any experience with this? What causes it and how did you fix it? I have never replaced my pilot bearing. Could this be the source of my problems?

I've added UV die to the oil and will get the car up on stands in the next few weeks to take a closer look. But if the parts are relatively cheap I'd like to order them ahead of time so if I see the problem is a main seal or pilot bearing I can just go ahead and replace it right then and there.

Any help is appreciated. Let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Mike

Default

There is a rear main seal. Saw the Horsepower TV hammerheads replace one on yesterday's show.
