Well going to be doing a heads/cam swap and the next few weeks and just looking to get everything in order. One question i have is on oil, i currently run mobil1 5w-30, doing an oil pump with the h/c so i know something thicker is recommended. I cant find mobil 1 10w-40 or 15w-50 on the shelf anymore, except in an "extended performance" package. Thinking that it might be a good time to switch oils, was recommended valvorine vr-1, like a 20w-50. Recommendations?

You can still run the same oil. I prefer 0w-40 Mobile 1 which we get from Autozone.

another vote for 0w40 mobil one. all ive used since i put the first cam in . never givin me any issues also burns less/less blow by in the pcv from other cars ive seen

I use the 10w30 Mobil Syn in both my F-bods.
