Figure its time to swap out my stock valve springs on my 02 blown Z with 23K miles on the clock, for preventive maintenance and piece of mind, and figured this would be the most cost effective, durable dual spring to use on my stock LS6 motor as a replacement for my stocker LS6 springs.
Anyone aware of any failures with the PATRIOT GOLD dual springs and if yes, what was the cam profile being used in the motor where the Patriot dual valve spring broke?

Spring Pressures (seat / open)
Comp 918 = 130/313
PP Gold Duals = 140/350
And to really go nuts, marine 454's run the same GM lifters with springs over 200/600 pounds right from the factory.
Youre not going to collapse a lifter with gold duals. Too many people run them without problems. Ive only heard of them breaking if installed incorrectly or abused such as beating on a cold motor.

I have 10,000 miles on my PP springs with the 231/237 .595/.598 cam and no issues. They have been run hard for extended periods of time on a road course and averaging over 125mph for 118 miles in BBORR. I plan to replace them later this year.
