Default Low Engine Coolant

My light came on for low engine coolant. I have never replaced or added engine coolant before. Whats the best kind to use for my 408 ls1?

Any name brand dex cool orange one. Might want to pressure test the cap and system to see why your losing coolant though. I have seen lots of bad caps. Half the new ones they sell don't hold pressure. Just a heads up.

You really need to make sure you actually are low on coolant before you do anything. A jug of dexcool is like 12 dollars. Those damn sensors are well known for malfunctioning, I think they even took them out of the 2000 and up cars. I just unplugged mine and keep track of my coolant level.
