Ok...the guys talking about idle problems....are you running the TSP cam or the TR224?

I have the TR224 on a 112 LSA, and I have no idle issues at all! It may surge a bit when it's cold, but aside from that, drives fine. My car was only full throttle tuned I believe, so she gets a bit close to wanting to buck if you try to do 30 mph in 4th gear with stock gears, but it's no problem really. When we first put the cam in, the car had a tune for the LS6 intake, ported TB and headers in it which was done on a dyno. So when we first started her up, she needed some nursing with the gas for about 5 mins until she idled by herself. After that it ran fine even without a new tune. I had it tuned the following week anyhow to get more power out of it. I never had to drill any holes into the blade.....that's something you need for a huge cam and if you don't wanna tune it!

Here are two videos of the car ideling....

Sound to me like it differs from car to car.

I got a 224/224 .566/.566 114 LSA cam shaft on stock heads and I knowit will run better idlng around 800. Of course mine is idling at 650. Ok so I need a little tune no biggy. But I thought the power would be more noticable. I figured with 30-35 more horsepower, a punch and gun burn out wouldnt be a problem on stock 16's, I was wrong. I definitley think it needs to be tuned and I might open up some decent power.

with the GT2-5 cam i run. i had to drill my tb to get it to idle right. without drilling it wouldnt idle if trying to drive it, it would die if you put it in gear and etc. but if you finally got it to sit untouched it would idle. after i drilled the hole larger i backed my TB screw off to it was shut the full way and truck idles very steady and i have no issues with it at all

My TR 224 112LSA cam is great. i put down... 395 with just the cam and full bolt ons. with my tune it ran great. idled fine and has a nice little lope to it. then i put on some Patriot heads (LC) and lost a few HP cause of the lose of compression...FI coming soon to solve that problem!

My friend has the exact same cam in his TA as well. he put the cam in last summer some time and has been running his car for almost a year with out a tune or anything. and it runs alright. im sure he's not getting hardly as much power out of it as he could be with a tune, but his car still runs and idles fine just as it....

just my $0.02

I am pretty far from Miami, about 216 miles. I live on the southwest coast, about 100 miles south of Tampa. So that would be quite a drive just to listen to my car...

davered00ss you lost HP with heads
yea sadly enough.... i got the Patriot heads with like 70cc chambers or something..i forget exaclty but with the 2.055 and 1.60 valves, there's a lot of chamber carved out to make those fit....so i lost some compression...which is cool...turbo coming soon!
