5.3 truck ?
5.3 truck ? I am getting ready to swap out my 346 for a 402 and I was wondering if I could use parts off of it for my truck? I have a 01 Chevy with the 5.3 and I want to do a head and cam swap. Here are the parts that are in question.
Comp adjustable timing chain
Ls6 ported oil pump
Comp 7.40 push rods
BBK 80 throttle body
The big question. Stage 2 5.7 heads
Will the stage 2 heads work well with a TR 220 cam or will they drop the compression to much? The heads have been milled .015 to cut the chamber to 65cc. How much will these heads drop the compression of a 5.3?

the heads wont work due to the bore of the 5.3 3.77 compared to the 5.7 bore of 3.9, it will bring your compression down to 9.2.1 or close. Everything else will
