Default Connecting Rod question...

I see that most of the connecting rods out there are in the $450+ range....until I read about a set on SDPC.

It's a Scat I Beam -
4340 forged steel I-Beam 6.125"
Average rod weight is 590
Full Floating bronze bushed pin end, fits 0.927 diameter pins
Premium ARP 3/8" cap screws
.....cost is under $300.

.....to be used on a stock to mild cam car (330-360 RWHP) to only be
ran up to 6200-6400 RPMs limiter (max).

What are your thoughts ?

Pretty good price for a Scat forged rod, but what the heck do you need something that stout for? OEM rods are perfectly capable of handling the HP/revs you're talking about.

Like teh man above said, you dont need to forge for those kind of revs and power.

Lets assume I have a H/C car, and want to run a 200 shot? How are these I-Beam rods. Anyone running them? For 300 bucks I'd pick them up, but that's only because I have a bent rod.

A bent push rod or connecting rod ?
......the stock push rods will bend pretty easily with a heads/cam and bumped RPM's.
