Default Price of flycutting

I'm having a member of our local F-body club, also an ASE certified mechanic, do my parts install. Originally, he quoted me $1200 for an LS6 intake and lid, SLP LTs and ORY, Fuddle 4000 converter with a B&M tranny cooler, an LS6 oil pump, double roller timing chain, new lifters and a TRex cam.

I am now going with a set of heads, but I imagine the labor will be about the same since the heads were going to have to be pulled to install the new lifters.

How much should I expect to pay for him to flycut the pistons to make enough clearance for the TRex cam with the aftermarket 5.3 heads?
Thanks

not part of your question, but you may want to seriously reconsider the SLP headers...do a search on them.

He already owns those headers if memory serves me correctly.

Anyway, fly cutting can be a pain in the ***. What size reliefs are you going to need with those 5.3 heads? I imagine that it is gonna be at least -4cc.

yeah i've heard alot of bad things about the slp long tubes and i would also expect to pay less than $100 for the flycutting.

75-100 sounds about right to me.

For the record I got the SLP Headers and an SLP ORY for 250 shipped to my door. I'm going to weld skid guards onto them.
I'm not going to need to flycut anymore with the cam I'm going to go with.

I read the other post and gathered as much. Also want to tell you again to keep the stock valve sizes. The oversized ones might flow more, but would probably directly affect the lowend grunt.
