yeah colder plugs go hand in hand with high power ouputs because of the dramatic increase in cylinder pressure which will cause extremely higher cylinder tempratures. The colder plug will dissipate the extra heat better, allowing the plug to stay a bit cooler.

Without colder plugs, the plugs get to hot and can melt, ping, knock ...etc. This can destroy a motor.

I knew that was true for forced induction motors, but I didnot realize that was true for NO2. I guess I always thought the cooling effect of the NO2 negated that. Thanks for the info.

n02 has the same effect on the combustion as forced induction, and most consider it forced induction. When you see N/A that means no blower turbo or no2.

Motor with heads on will definatly go in with NO tranny. I would bolt the heads with the trans, try it, then take the tranny off and stab the longblock in if it won't fit with it. Then you could just put the tranny in from the bottom after you get the motor in.

Report back whatever you find.

Definatly throw in a set of Katech rodbolts, new lifters, and a new oilpump while you've got it apart, way too cheap not to.

That's the million dollar question. I'll find out, if someone doesn't beat me to it. I've always done long block from the top, and tranny from the bottom. But everyone knows even with a transmission jack the tranny is a bitch.
