Default Powerband of a Torquer2 on a 114?

so ive narrowed down the cam for the SS between two cams. the Torquer2 aka XER281 being much more likely. not too concerned with how itll sound but what kinda power curve id be looking at and such. ive searched and it seems no one has it on a 114. would it be uncharted territory or somethin? also if someone can, can i get the FULL specs of the cam? thanks guys.

I'm assuming you havnt checked texas speed sit if you dont know the full specs, if this is what your asking 232/234 .595/.598 power band is 1800-6400.

I believe predatorz has that cam on a 113, and he siad it pulls strong all the way to 6800 when he shifts. So im guessing the 114 will be right around that area. 6800-7000. Also I believe it really kicks in abotu 3500 or so. Someone feel free to correct me if im wrong.

I believe that you are correct and incorrect at the same time. His motor went bye-bye. But yeah, he is a great person to ask a question to about it!

I have the Torquer V.2 on a 112+2. Definitively loss of torque from idle to 1900. Past that though it gets wheelspin. I feel the car start to pull around 2500. Past that and we are moving. It REALLY takes off around 4500. I haven't taken it to redline yet because quite frankly by the time I catch traction I am going way to fast. I took it to 6grand today and I was just FLYING.

This is on a 6 speed with stock gears btw.

im jus wondering wht the 114 will do. or if the only difference would be a smooth idle

it aint gonna be NA forever and a 114 would make it more friendly for what we wanna do. it wont be the perfect cam but it wont be anywhere near the worst either.

I was goin to go with the torquer 2 but reading what people had to say to make it work good i needed to flycut my pistons etc. it just sounded like too much work so i talked myself down to the 228r from texas speed 228/228 .588/.588 at 112lsa

You definately wont need to fly cut the pistons with this cam...unless you have other-than-stock heads.

i got this cam on a 114, i love it. and its not even tuned yet, i get my tires spin at 3500, it kicks in at 2000 rpm, all the way to 6000rpm it cuts off until i tune it .6600rpmis the goal, it pulls hard when your able to get traction anyway, look at the bottom you'll see what i have, Nice cam in my opinion. I been driving it for 2 weeks without a tune, went to los angeles from las vegas and back. PM if you have any questions.

The T2 will be pretty lazy in mid-range torque on a 114LSA unless it has 4 degrees of advance ground in. Even with +4, the intake valve closing point is 46 degrees ABDC. If you get in on a 114LSA, just make sure to get it ground +4, otherwise you'll need to call the cam something other than the Torquer.
