Pat's right. That's going to be a weak combo for the money invested. Mill the heads .030" to 67cc, run a Cometic .030" gasket if the deck height is .000" and run a Comp Cams XE-R 244/248 114+4 or a Comp LSK 243/247 113+4 to get DCR up to a decent place. Those cams will provide decent drivability, good power, and will produce very strong midrange numbers.

The cams Jake has mentioned will work great, especially with a power adder. If you can live with a little more of a lope, the LSK lobed 243/247 cam on a 110LSA +2 (coupled with a 70cc chamber) would give you approximately 11.5:1 SCR and 8.5:1 DCR. About perfect for a street/strip car running pump gas in my book! If you plan on running race gas, then you can get away with even higher SCR and DCR.

Thanks for the input guys. I'll be looking at those cams as well as any others worth mentioning. I still haven't figured out why the DCR calculation I keep coming up with is 9+ with the Pat Kelley calculator.

Either you're not inputing duration at .006" or the Pat Kelley calculator is crap. Use the one from the Advanced Tech sticky...it works every time.

BTW. Patrick G is the man when it comes to this, so he need not be questioned.

It's still in the building stages luckily. As far as the cam goes it's not in stone either. Are you "in the know" on this sort of stuff or just speculating. If you do know, what is your suggestion? I will be spraying also.
anybody else hear crickets when he said this to G.....??

Solid numbers man. Unlocked..............wow. Thats staggering through a stock catback as well. Why in the world would you spend all this time and money and not atleast throw some header extensions and bullets on there?
