Default Another cam ?

Ive been doing my reaserch on cams and its really confuseing still but i understand some of it so far. But my ? is i have a daily drive but at waht point dose a cam become not a street cam and a pure track cam. I imagine that everything could be used on the street but what is safe and reliable if you can ask that ? Im sure i have more ? but im still waiding int he shallow end before i good twards the deep if you know what i mean ?

usually the lift and lsa are big factors here, I would not go any lower than a 114 or a 112 lsa for a dd

not always true, iv seen smaller duration 110 lsa cams get great under the curve power and torque.

there is a huge thread on cams around if you feel like searching. but i think i know the answer to your question.

a bigger duration cam will make bigger power, but the bigger the duration, the higher up in the rpms the power will come. for example a 224/224 cam on a lsa will make power from idle all the way up, but not tons of power. a large cam
like the texas speed giant 248/254 will make tons and tons of power, but the power probably wont kick in until 4000 rpms, if you let out the clutch like normal the car would stall. if your car is auto it wouldnt even drive with the stock stall converter. that is about .001% of what there is to know about cams, but i hope that helped
