Default prc dual springs

I have a 2000 ls1 and am wanting to do the trex cam and prc dual valve springs. My question is, do I have to machine the spring seats in the heads for these springs?

Not that I know of. I just bought a PRC double spring & pushrod kit from TSP. Jon never mentioned it to me & we talked about it for a while before we decided it was the right kit for my cam. I'm very impressed with the quality of the kit also.

They are. I've been running them for 20k miles. You have to get the kit w/ the ti retainers, as your stock retainers won't work. But there is no machining needed to the seat.

There is no machining involved with installing the PRC dual spring kit. I've have mine on the car for ~20k miles as well and still perform the same as the day they were put on the car. Best spring for the price IMO

If you guys needs some pricing on the kit, shoot me a pm!

TR told me with that cam (T-rex) you have to use a .030 shim with the dual valve springs.

The MS3 has specs close to mine & I also talked to Jon for a buddy who was lookin @ the MS3 & he said this kit would work for it also. The kit is worth it, it comes with new locks, tit. retainers, pushrods, double springs, etc...

I think those springs are good for a .650 lift and the tRex is .61X lift, but I would check coil bind FWIW, if you are shimming.

I daily drive these springs on a TSP 242/248 cam with .625 lift, no machining needed at all, great product at a great price.
