starting issues help!

starting issues help! Ok this has been a issue for a few months now..
get put key in and go to start the car and nothing! fuel pump is coming on but the motor dose not turn over I dont even hear the silinoid pushing in and out its like there is no starter there.. then after about 10-15 trys the car cranks right up.. 99% of the time I did not have any problums and the car would start but today nothing is happening..
now the car is stuck in a parking lot and will not turn over what do you all think starter gone?

Yea probably the solenoid on the starter. Summitracing just came out with a new starter for the LS1. $159.99 good price for a high torque starter, also it is designed for engines up to 18.1 compression ratio.
