Is 30Psi at idle normal?
Is 30Psi at idle normal? My c5 i just picked up when i come to a stop and sit there drops down to about 30psi for the oil, i thought it was supposed to be around 40. I just want to make sure that this is not a problem because if it is id rather do something about it now

What is pressure at full throttle? 50-55
If you took off the pump and put it back on you could have messed up the O ring on it causing the lower pressure that you are speaking of.

It was like that the whole time I owned it, and I never had a problem with it. You should be fine

Most engines only need 10 psi per 1k rpms. So if you idle at 600 rpm you would technically only need 6 psi. I know that is awful low but that is the way of it. But at 6k rpms you should see about 60. This is all just general rule of thumb but if you use this as a guideline you should be AOK.
