Eay fix by a good welder, It happens more than you know, especially on the GM/Lingenfelter CNC'ed heads with the big intake ports and thin walls.

A lot of the casting where it broke looks pretty thin. Maybe just a bad casting from GM caused it to be weak there especially after the porting. Those look like 918s. What is the lift of the cam?

they are 918's the lift is .581. The general reply I've got from the people I've talked to is they think it could be from the porting. so tomorrow I'm going to pull the heads and check everything out.

Yea, looks like th eroof/walls are very thin. That area has to hold the spring pressures, and obviouslly, that was a bad spot in the aluminum. Could be a casting defect, and the addition of the thin walls equals problems.

Too thin for the stress. Get a set of the LPE rocker stands, that will help some.
