I would like to but not a huge shot. I just want to know if the difference between these cams and say a comp cam of relative size is huge. I know it probably would make up for it when sprayed but obviously I wont be spraying all the time so I still want good power.

Read patrick's post about torque i think a page back or so it has some very useful information. It also helps to explian why bigger is not always better.

I have read that thread. Great information. I have the NX stage 2 cam 224/228 561/571 that I bought from a guy only because it seemed like a good deal. I guess I can just stick it in and see how it performs. If I dont like it or I get less than desired results ill get something else. I just didnt know if the cam was that different from a comp 224/228 cam.

the nx stage 2 cam has XE lobes? Those will go better with 918 spings right? Because those are the springs that I have now.

XE-R has a faster ramp rate if I'm not mistaken...

that is the difference. Its harder on your valvetrain but its supposed to make for a nice choppy idle and better power.

XE-R lobes will be harder on the valve train, but will make better low rpm power and better drivability.

Not at those durations, ramp rate is less harsh, it will have a little less under the curve power than XE-R. Tuning not an issue with nowadays software.
XE lobes are good street lobes
