Default Cam swap, short loud tap, ideas?

well i got my cam in this weekend, and ive noticed after the car warms up and the temp gets around 160* or so, it starts getting a really loud tap (not piston slap) and it's in the valvetrain b/c it goes with the rpms. i think it might be the lifters, should they just need adjusted or what? also the tap goes away after about 10 or 15 min when the temp reaches 210* and ideas would help me in my search....

1. Did you replace your lifters?
2. Have you checked to make sure your rocker arm bolts arent loose?
3. What springs are you running? PRC. I read your sig. Good to go there.
4. Whats your preload?

Answer those and more help will come.

it could be A) Rocker Arm/stud B) Lifter or C) bent pushrod most likely and C is probably not an option so i would check A first. pull the valve covers off and your spark plugs out, see if it makes it then if the rockers dont check out.

Well, then check your rocker bolts and if there all good to go along with your rockers. Then I say lifter. Hell, my Comp OE 850s are noisy on start up, but once it warms up~2-4mins there fine. Thats only when cold too. You might be pullin them heads. Its not exactly fun, but very doable. After doing it myself, I would easily do it again.

Check the rocker arms and make sure you have them torqued down correctly. 22ftlbs. then rotate the crank 180 degrees and retorque them.
You probably have one loose.
