Default New Stage 3 Dart Head

We just got a dart head with a stage 3 port on the bench and it turned out pretty good. Obviously this head is designed for a big motor since it has 2.100 and 1.600 valves and was flowed on a 4.125" bore. This may be a suitable substitute for all those guys waiting on somebody else's backordered heads. Intake runner volume is 240cc,chamber is 67cc, exhaust port is big, valve size is 2.100x1.600. Exhaust was flowed with a 1 7/8" x 4" pipe on our flowdata flow bench.

Intake Exhaust
.100 69 60
.200 146 138
.300 218 207
.400 273 245
.500 319 268
.550 340 274
.600 350 278

I will post more info as we want to put a 2.080 valve in it and a 4.00" chamber and flow it on a 4.030 bore. Delivery time is 10 days-2 weeks.

Very impressive. It will be interesting to see how the real world results compare to your Stage 3 heads using the AFR castings.

Man those are freaking amazing numbers, the Dart heads seem to be alot better than the other head companies are trying to lead on. And the price (of the heads, not your port work) is really amazing.

What would a set of these heads cost approximatly.
Thanks

Mike, nice flows. Can you tell me...What would happen to the flow numbers if you put it on a 3.905" bore? I imagine the flow would drop some correct? No one seems to want to say what happens when you do this. Thanks.

Any guess as to what kind of power gain over your stage 3 6.0's?

I'm especially impressed with the low range numbers .200-.400 is strong.

Hey bro whats up?????

These heads IMO wont be much good on a 3.9 bore motor.
Even in a 383 this might not be the best choice.
I would say the 225 AFR's or the 225 ETP's would work out better on a stock bore. The port on these are probally bigger then what a small bore setup would want/need.
I imagin you would loose 15cfm or so on this bore size as well.

Now as far as someone with a 427 or a 408 these might kick some ***.
TEA has always done some very nice work and I am sure these are kick *** as well.
Price?????
I am happy to see someone else do some good work to the darts.
More options are always nice.
Mike how will these work on a FI setup.

Great flow #s. I'd like to see something for a 3.90 bore but it would be hard for me to give up my KICKASS 1.5s.

JZ's, Yeah I have been confused on the flow at this and that for a while. I got the bore size and pipe etc, but was wondering IF they were flowed on a smaller bore, would it drop the numbers dramatically, barely, or raise the flow? But, dropping about 15cfm or sounds like a nice number for my brain to toggle on. Thanks.

To answer most of the above questions. It is too big to put on a 3.9 bore it would kill it. We normally as a rule go no larger than 2.055 intake valve on a 3.9 bore so NO I do not have a stage 3 head for stock motors. Price is $2349.00 with ferrea valves and our dual gold .650 lift spring kit with titanium retainers. These should work great on an FI setup especially with the large exhaust port. The reason we did this was because the availability of the other aftermarket heads is poor at best right now and it is another option for guys who want to race this summer.

Is this the same port that you guys have been using for the other Stage 3 heads? I know the 6.0, AFR, and LS-6 castings all carry the same Stage 3 port, just wondering if this is a more cost effective way to get a better casting with the same port?
