Default how much longer will my motor last?

ok so I changed my oil today and I am really pissed. It smelt like gas and was really thin. I believe that I an getting fuel in the oil. does this mean my rings are going bad? the carhas about 86k miles on it and is a 98. should I start looking into a new motor and how much is felt in my stocker?

I think you should just scrap it and let us build you one.

well, there is a reason that you are getting a lot of fuel in there. How is your tune on the "big cam" you have? are you O2 sensors okay?

it is possible you've killed your o2s or your tune is way off and you've washed down your cylinders.i would remove all the plugs, squirt alittle oil in each cylinder and crank it over some, then put in new plugs and 02 sensors and have the tune checked to see what your afr is.cross fingers.

My guess is the tune is too rich. Unless some fluke thing happened or the car was poorly maintained and driven hard, 86k miles is nothing for an LS1. If it's the rings, you'd be burning alot of oil and maybe down on power.

the car does feel down on power, it may be rich, but I don't think it's burning and oil, that why I am stumped. itsalso getting super shitty gas milage. like 11mpg on some spirited, not raceing driving.

You probbley just have bad O2 sensors...or your tune is off.
