Default LS6 Coolant pipe??

I am about to swap my LS1 intake for a LS6. Is there a workaround that can be done so I dont have to shell out more $$ for the damn LS6 coolant pipes?? Can I just plug them up and seal them? I remember hearing about a cheap fix but I cant find it anymore. Anyone know of anything about this??

Did you read the how to It shows you how to take the ls1 tube and cut it so you block off the rear and get the cross over for the front. There's even pic's to go with it.

the pipe is not that expensive... why the cheap all of a sudden?

also, having the tube there "may" keep number 7 from getting too hot and detonating....

Its not so much the cheapness as it is that I cant get the parts this weekend and I want to get this finished this weekend.

Also the mod will not help cool #7 at all. It would actually plug up the back coolant lines.

Did the install today and I shaved all of the ridges on the underside off with the dremel. Worked great and fit perfect and I didnt have to wait to get the coolant tubes or shell out the $$ for them either. Dont know why the hell anyone wouldnt do it this way. It takes like 15 minutes to do the shaving and it saves you 50$

Removed it and ground down almost all of the ridges on the bottom, I did keep some though.

couple years ago i ground down some of the ridges also, seems to be working just fine. i didnt grind them all down, just put some grease on the coolant lines then set the intake on them and then i could see where the lines ran and then removed only what i needed to.

Dont remove all the ridges. Theyre there to maintain the intake's strength as its pressed against the heads.
